--> How Strong Are Motegi Wheels
last saturday i was 4-wheel driftin my protege thru a sharp turn, and there ended up bein a dip in the middle of the turn that unloaded my suspension... result being that my right rear tire/rim smashed the curb goin about 45 mph almost straight sideways... everything rides just fine, no air loss, the susp is fine, i was just wonderin if anybody knows how strong motegi wheels really are, and how much abuse they can take?

it's metal.. it's round, it looks flashy, and spins when your car moves... how could you make a better wheel than somebody else besides in design or weight? rip the wheel off and see if it's still balanced, and if anything, with your stunt, that would be a testament to motegi rims!! SlopPerformance just pulled a similar drifting accident not to long back and completely fucked up his car... i'd consider yourself lucky your car isn't fuckered up like his got. good luck.

yeah strret racing is dumb, especially when you're going fast endangering the lives of other pedestrians that could have been coming around that corner.

So what? You still ended up in a situation where you briefly lost control of your car and ended up on a side walk at a a high rate of speed. What if someone was on that sidewalk? You just happened to get lucky. Your scenario better depicts the stupidity of street racing.
