Question Custom Shift ****

I just bought a custom shift **** for my 93 4dr manual (duh) and i just ran into a small problem. What should I do about the boot? It doesn't wrap around the new **** like it did the old one. So now i have the new **** on and the boot is just sitting there (It doesn't go up the the bottom of the ****...It could, but I don't know how to get it to stay!) Sorry this is the dumbest question I've seen on this site-and it's really hard to explain, but hey it's worth a try! Thanks
