Coil over question

Question,

Has anyone tried to utilize regular lowering springs (1.8" drop) in conjunction with coilover sleeves in order to acheive a less aggressive drop? Ex: installing the sleeves backwards therefore allowing the drop to be "raised", allowing a .8", 1", or 1.5" drop?

Just curious if this has been done yet?
