Question brake overheat !!

Hi guys, i have a big problem.

my front disk brakes was worn... I could still brake but, I noticed the rotor had a lots of bad groove so....

Ok, I bought 2 rotor and 4 pads, I followed the Haynes manual to remove/install my brakes... everything went well except one thing, the M-pin/spring.
It was broken on both wheels, but the brake system was working great.

now with the new pads/rotor, the front left(driver) wheel is always overheating there is a lot of smoke! also, the right(passenger) wheel is hot but, it really isnt that bad,(no smoke)
The right wheel is also making a WEIRD noise when braking, like SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH...

It's like if the pads were draging on the rotor but the M-pin wasn't there even with the previous brake, and really this pin is very weak im not sure it can retain the pads...

Anyway, please im desperated I need some advice.
I know you guys will come with something usefull.
Thank you very much in advance!!!

you can buy new slide pins, m spring and the whole works for under 10 bux. its worth the extra money. another problem you have is that the 2 sliders on the caliper were probably a little seized.... this happend to me as well, you have to carefully slide the sliders out of the rubber boot and clean the rust out. It builds up behind the rubber and causes friction thus the slider sticks and the brakes will drag.

Finally!! I found out that one of the sleeves was STUCK!!! Very Stuck !! .... a mechanic around here removed it and cleaned/greased it so now it works sooo well !!! yeahhaa !!!

yesterday my exaust fell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just behind the catalitic converter !!! IT'S SOOOO LOUD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG !! I can't beleive my car is that loud lol and when i release the gas pedal, there are backfires ..... lol backfires under your seat omg it's loud !!

first impression was, WOW it sound nice !!!! but then on a daily basis going to work is soo annoying !

anyway I'll try to tape it since i will have to replace almost anything up to the manifold .. first aid fix first.. then maybe i will spend the dollars to fix it... a whole exaust will cost a lot! flex-pipe + catalitic converter + piping + muffler !!
