It's not from a 91-94 Protege, well, the one in the pictures anyway.

I beliebe that is the 1.8 DOHC that was found in the 2nd gen Protege's. It is also possible that that engine is a Miata 1.8. Not 100% sure but that's what comes to mind.

Yes, it is a second gen 1.8, but not out of a Miata (different valve cover). However, FWIW, it's still a BP.

Yep, that's the 2nd gen ES engine (aka, BP DOHC) also found in the 95-97 1.8L Kia Sephia.

thats a 94+ mx-3 1.6l dohc engine in the pic
the 95+ pro bp looks the same but has a little different intake manifold
