I was driving yesterday before my little incident (1st gen general discussion page) and it was just starting to rain. The road was slick so when I was taking off from the stop sign, I must have launched the car pretty hard because I was in 1st and the tires were sliding like ape **** so I let go of the accelerator (still in first) it was in the high rpm range, and I got that bunny hop thing many of you that own a stick might know what I mean. But I decided to take it to 5k before I switched to second and I noticed this weird noise, like a electronical whirring sound. My gears would change but when I stepped on the accelerator, I couldn't feel the pressure plate grabbing like it should. Then later on it was fine. No noises or nothin. I know I did something wrong but what?

 

your tires were just spinning when it happens in the rain it feels totally different sometimes u dont even notice it

 

no im talking about that whirring noise in the transmission.
