Go on GroHarlem site your going to see that the lx did came with the dohc 1.8l and by the vin number with the dealer it's listed has an lx an the engine by the vin his also an dohc 1.8l. Only in the state did the dohc 1.8l came only in the gt model. I had that discussion with a lot of people and i can assure you that my information his correct so his the badge behind the car but who cares i know have a gtx engine under the hood an it's a lot more fun then the n/a version.

GT never came to the states, if that's what you're saying.

If you're talking about theMAN's FAQ, you can't tell whether it's an LX or GT by the VIN, but the engine code.

Anyways, as you said, who cares

The ONLY dohc first gen Protege in Canada is the GT.
