its always wise to spend the 12 bucks on a fuel filter, it just saves so many headaches down the road, just an FYI

pull your plugs and check to see if there is anything on em. Re-gap them and you should be good. If not, check the timing with a timing gun and that your air filter is clean:D

i already pulled the plugs an cleaned em of any g unk there was on them.. havent checked the air filter or timing yet however..

does it do this at plain old idling too, or just when u rev it first, if it does it at normal idle, check for airflow through the meter and all your hoses

Does it sputter when it's idling if you DON'T rev it?

sometimes i sputter when i rev then the car dies. this is because of an extremely rich mixture. Sputtering and rich mixture have tendancy to go hand in hand.

I had the same problem because of running rich...never figured it out, I just took the engine out and put the BPT in :D

it does it some time when its at the idle.. but most the time if i rev it

You also may want to check your air fitler, and the connection to the air flow sensor.

i think its pin 10 and ground, just short them. then turn the key to the point before starting.

the engine light will flash a number of times. count the number of flashes and thats the code.
