SE setup

does ne1 here know of how i can get the se (4wd) setup done, i know it may cost some money, but i really want 4wd so i can at least think of some major future plans....

If the dealer sells this, thatd be great....

Any cheaper ideas, or maybe pros n cons on the subject would be great.

Why would u go threw all that trouble to make a weak 4wd protege?

What's with all the negativity?
I personally would love a 4wd GTX/GTR or Ford Laser like they have outside of North America!
It is going to be a big project, but it has been done! Here's the website of a guy with a GTR:D motor in his 4WD Protege! There's lots of good info on the site regarding his build up that you should be able to use.
Good Luck on your project man, I hope you go for it!:D

you're missing the point. That drivetrain CANNOT HOLD ANY POWER. You WILL have a weak protege, unless you drop twice what the car is worth into the car. It's THAT simple.

Even the GT-R tranny? (not GTX) D'oh!

edit: I mean for the 4wds

Ive heard the GTR tranny isn't even powerful enough to handle a good beating. I just think its a waste to convert ALOT of crap to make your car an AWD. If u currently have an AWD protege its a great idea but from what i hear the best platform for a conversion is the lx protege

That'd be my opinion, if the GTR tranny can't handle it either. Otherwise it'd be fun to play with the Subarus :)
