Hey, welcome to the forum!
If I had a MZ3, I'd:
Tint the windows
Remove the side moldings
Get springs and struts from a MS3, or maybe a Racing Beat/Koni setup
Get Racing Beat swaybars
Get a Racing Beat catback
Get lightweight aftermarket wheels
That's about it. A few ideas for you. Enjoy!

The best mod for ANY car is the "good driver mod". Start by leaving the car alone and enrolling in your local SCCA. $70 to join and $25 a month and you'll go faster than you ever could with an intake and exhaust.
I promise.

This is gonna come by as a pure example question of ignorance, but what is SCCA?? Never heard of it, or maybe I have, but maybe by a different name. Anyways, what is it?
In relation to the topic, I own a 2004 mazda 3, and the first mod that I ever put in was tint. At first I was thinking of holding back on this mod, but driving around I realized how open I am. I did it myself, its alot easier than I thought, a little time consuming.
After that I would think about what you want your car to do for you, you want speed, I would suggest a cold air intake system first, its cheap, and affordable, it gives a decent amount of power, but if your going just for looks, you'd be surprised how far lowering springs will go. I say go to e-bay and look around, lot of neat stuff there.
