what size rims and tire are you guys putting on for the winter?

Me too. I switch back to the stock wheels and tires for winter. 15"x6" & 195/55R15. I'm thinking about snow tires for the stock rims though.

staying with my stock 14" but really dont need to. only snows here maybe once a year. And then it only lasts a couple of days. And chains for the mountains only b/c they make you have them. if i go up there which i dont see that in the near future.

yeah but the 195/50 16's on the pro5 will suck during winter here in northeast canada

Hey what's up. I have a set of Blizzak WS-50's on steel 14" wheels that I was about to put up on eBay. They are a year old and probably have 1000 miles on em. Size 185/65qr. If anybody lives where it's cold give me a holler. These did great in W. PA, much better than stock. I had an "interesting" time or two with those stock tires in snow/ice.

I bought the TireRack recommended 15X6 steel wheels with P195/55QR-15 Michelin Arctic-Alpins.

From the looks of them the 195/50/16 Dunlop SP5000's will suck royally in winter. If you want to stay out of the ditch I'd advise getting some "real" snow tires.

I've got a set of Yokohamo Guardex 600's in 195/60/15 from my old car that I am going to mount on some crappy steel wheels for the winter. Thus I am looking at getting some 15*6 steel wheels, anyone know the bolt patter and offset of the stock 2001 16 inch alloys?

BTW, the ULTIMATE snow tire is the Nokian Happapalita. I had these tires on my AE86 Corolla GT-S and they were unbelievable. They are pricey and wear out fast on dry pavement but in the snow and ice they are unbeatable. They come from Finland where they know a thing or too about winter driving!
