Hey, Amrit. I think a lot of the wheels that wheelmax sells are cheap Chinese made knock-offs, if I recall. They sell other (good) brands, too. But you'll have to familiarize yourself with the different brands that are out there before making a purchasing decision through them. I can't say for sure, but I am willing to bet that wheels made by Drag, BSA, etc are Chinese imitations of better known brands, and their casting qualities (porosity, strength) and material/ design (Weight, strength, finish durability) are probably not that good. I think it would be safer to go through Discount Tire or the Tire Rack. They sell quality brands, but I know you live out on the islands, so you'll have to see if they'll ship to you (and how much extra it will cost).
Also, beware of a lot of the packages out there. Often, they'll give you a second-rate tire along with your new rim. One only needs to do a Google search to see the safety/ quality problems that people have had with Wanli, Nankang, and other lesser known tires. In fact, I know for certain that the Nankang tires were recalled on several occaisions due to the possibility of tread separation... I would just as soon spend the extra dough on a good set of Michelins, Yokohamas, Falkens, or even Nittos. There are a lot of good tires to choose from.
