Two years ago, I had to replace my tires on my 98 protege LX.

For 500 bucks, mazada said the could put on the same shitty tigerpaws that my car came with:inthebum:

Basically I told them no thanks (:the finge) and went down the street to goodyear and put a set of AquatredII on my car.

In a nutshell, those where the best set of rubber I've ever had! You couldn't even tell if the road was wet in the rain, and with the snow and slush we get here in Canada, they performed better than most tires desinged for winter.

for high performance 4-season, has anyone tried Pirelli P7000 SuperSport's or Michelin PilotSport A/S's?
and for winter tires has anyone tried Pirelli Winter210 SnowSports or Michelin Pilot Alpin's?

I've read some pretty good things bout em, but would like some first hand info... (when you're driving to Whistler, 4-seasons just don't cut it :( , and if you live in vancouver, summer tires=4-season tires!!!
:crying: )

but in the end, the snow's worth it!!! :D :D :D

If you lost control "a couple times", I'd highly recommend using seasonal tires rather than all-seasons. This past winter was my first experience with snow tires and I was thoroughly impressed. All my vehicles will have summer and winter tires from here on out.
