Rota Battle; Soon To Arrive-dilema

Alright guys, well thanks to gentlemen like Kooldino and a few others who've been on top of me about these wheels have succeeded. I am getting the wheels produced and will retain this as an exclusive fitment through Auto R & D.

So basically I need to order a whole shitload of this fitment. This is no joke and I'm really here to see how many want this wheel in 17" or 18" and what color.

Please indicate which size is the one you would want. This is going to be a poll for me to figure out which size to produce first. HEre's the wheel:

Please let me know ASAP so I can get it running. Please spread the word.

Thanks, Rishie

hey Richie....I am in....I am interested in the 17 X 7 in Silver.

I will assume you are having them produced in a fitment that will allow lowering? as I am planing on that in the near future as well....

I want to run these wheels with a 215/40....and i will be lowering using Eibach's. I will be good to go with the offset you are getting made, right?

the tires I want with my wheels are Yokohama Parada Spec 2's

Rishie......just send me a quote to my email or a PM...and I will call you at the shop and we can get this ball a rollin!!

What fitment is it going to be?

djhyper October-8th-2002 10:25 AM

yo.. rishie ... 17 or 18 .. make sure thier 7 not 7.5 in gold .. see you dis weekend...later

blackp5sdp October-8th-2002 03:43 PM

maybe im coming in on this late or something, but how much are these going for?17 and 18's? id be interested in the silver or white ones

got another question ,, will 18's with a 48 or 50mm offset rub??

Sir Nuke October-8th-2002 05:02 PM

Okay...in the event you are comming into this discussion late..and some of you are....here is the deal...

Some months ago a few of us ask Rishie about these wheels, if you didn't know..Rishie owns a shop and is our resident expert when it comes to wheels/tires/ and suspensions. Rishie informed us that these wheels were not available to us in a fitment that would work on the Protege.

NOW, he has gone to great lengths to have Rota start making them for us.... and just why would he have them made in a fitment that wouldn't work? Seems like a silly question to ask at this point...whether or not they will rub...for if they would, he wouldn't be offering them to us.

ALL Rishie needs from each of us that SERIOUSLY wants to get a set of these wheels from him is what size wheel do we want..and in what color.

okay, and if you are coming into this conversation late...asking the price is a fair question.

These will be priced the same as the Subzero Protege fitment. I'm trying to see if Rota will cast the wheel so we do not need to machine the centerbore depth any longer. This will save another $50.00.

As of now, with machining, it's $600.00 shipped for 17"

$650.00 shipped for 18".

These prices do not include hardware which is additional $30.00 including lugnuts and hubrings.

Thanks, Rishie

This is based off my fitment recipe so no worries.

yea i guess your right......duh. well id be interested in the silver ones then in 18's . but i have a question...is there any room for lowering with 18's.. i just dont want to bigger rims make the car higher off the ground.. know what i mean?

slamprotege5 October-10th-2002 08:47 PM

hey rishie, i like the silver or silver-grey, but I am really interested more in the offset?? my car is tucking tire, just need to make sure they will fit. I am seriously interested in 17s'. Thanks:)

Rishie....I have seen where the Rota Battles are available with a POLISHED LIP....are the ones you are having made for us going to be available in that configuration?

if so....I want my set with polished lips...

:{D

I'm digging the steel grey in a 17. Nice.

KpaBap October-12th-2002 09:33 PM

I'd take some 18s in silver. I also live in Silicon Valley so I can come by the shop and pick them up... How much would that be then? (No shipping)
