i like simple rims, so rim 1 for sure, rim 2 is to busy for me

JDMstuff July-31st-2002 11:39 PM

I have a set of Rim #1 from my Matrix that I traded in. Unfortunately, they have a 40mm offset on the 17's, which will cause rubbing. I'm selling mine if you're interested. If I can't find a buyer, I'll probably wind up milling them down to the proper offset and keep them.

I would go with #1, But! If you choose number 2, i would get them in white! I actually saw them in an import shop over where i live 2 weeks ago, and they were in white. There Motegi right?

Yea they are.

Do you know if I get the 16x7.0 motegi rim. will it fit on my stock tires?

Get rim #2. (too many people have the 7-spoke style)
And also, yes go for the 16x7 because the 17" won't fit right.
And... the stock tires do fit on the 16x7 rim.

Take it from a female.....Go with #1........I'm with Mazdaboy.....like the simple ones. In my opinion the busier styles don't do our P5's justice...

markmurray77 August-1st-2002 02:09 AM

I see a lot of those 7 spoke one. They are everywhere around here

That would be because they look better....:)

Makaveli August-1st-2002 02:53 AM

#1 if you want it to look good....... the other one if you want it to look 'different'.....

Hmm I almost bought motegi's but backed out afterwards, offset was wrong and TOO HEAVY. They weigh about 23 pounds per 17inch wheel. My dealer said they are also made by American Racing (China)

Sir Nuke August-1st-2002 08:38 AM

I vote for #1....I like that style MUCH more.

the OTHER style looks to much like the wheels on the HONDA'S that were in Fast and the Furious.

AONEZERO August-1st-2002 11:09 AM

I would go with Rim #1, they look better. Plus they look easier to clean

Maz94Protege August-1st-2002 11:27 AM

Id go with the Motegi's

in Chrome if u could get them, if not the gunmetal works!

UPDATE:

I jus see that both are motegis. so id say Rim # 2.

Sry i wasnt payin attention. as usual.

bougha August-1st-2002 01:44 PM

I'd also go with #1

"Keep it simple, stupid" like one ice hockey coach says

10 points for the one who knows who that coach is ;)
