rim

Yea, so parking at my girlfriends house last night and all the sudden the curb came to life and bit my rim. Not bad damage, but scrapes on one of the spokes. I have the non-polished rims so i was wondering if i could file or sand or something it down to smooth out the scrapes. Does anyone know if this would work or how I would go about doing it? Thanks a lot............Protege's rock! I still love my '03 Protege.......but damn those scrapes.

at least you only have a scrape.. shit i could live with a scrape/... my rim is bent from something on the road. my tire is shredded too.. DAMN IT...

yeah,

I caught a curb like a month ago. Pretty good scrapes on my rim as seen in the red circle and above that on the edge of the rim. Yeah, I was pissed. Was rushed while trying to parellel park on a busy street. After a month, it is still the same and looks like no damage is going to occure. I was worried about the clear-coat getting scraped off. I don't think you would want to sand it down due to taking off the clear-coat, but I am not 100% sure what to do. Could have been worse I guess.......?

I know how you feel......

hey kickniteasy and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

YES you can do exactly as you described and then get some silver paint and just touch it up....that is unless you want to take the wheel to a place that totally refinished wheels and have it sandblasted and then repowdercoated....course the chance of it PERFECTLY matching the others would be pretty slim.....
