Painted OEM wheels

I have seen them on a few cars here. What did 'you' use to accomplish that? Do they scratch/wear easily? Anyone?

you have us confused...ALL the OEM wheels come painted....they are either painted silver....OR the wheel is polished and painted with a CLEAR coat.......either way.....they are both powdercoated.

I mean other than being painted silver OR polished. Anything else?

OH!! okay....well its been done numerous different ways...everything from spray out of a can (shitty way of doing it..and it won't last very long) to doing it the RIGHT way...which is to take your wheels to a POWDERCOATING shop and have them powdercoated any color you like....yes the tires must be removed...and take all the balancing weights off too....the finish is VERY VERY durable, and it happens to be how most all factory/aftermarket wheels are painted....

You are probably looking at about $100 per wheel to get powder coated. I know someone who had P5 stock rims done (not to change color but to have raw polished aluminium look).

No too bad, cheaper than getting new rims.

Just check with your local powdercoating shops.....around this area the going rate is $40/wheel to strip them...prep them...and recoat them in whatever color you wish.
