Opinions needed on rim selection!
 

I have a 2003 Blue Mica ES, and I am looking for rims to put on it?

Does anyone have any ideas of what rims might look good, or what size I should try to put on it? Any input would be great. Post pics if you have some.



I saw some Rozzi Detentions (chrome) on wheelmax today that weren't priced to bad for wheels and tires. I am just looking for some type of advice? Thanks in advance!

Why not pick out a few you like first and narrow down your selection that way...there are tons of wheel styles.

And read the wheelmax thread before you order from them!

Yes he does....Auto R&D. IF he can get the wheels...which he most likely can....he be THE MAN!

My personal recommendations.....find a wheel you like...and get it in 17". this way you will be running a 40 series tire and still have a little meat between the road and your wheel.....when you go to 18's or 19's....to me they seem a bit impractical for daily driving....you can certainly bend a wheel a lot easier.

Becareful with that recomendation on the 17's ... Some people have some ruff roads in their areas .. It is very dependent on where you live , where you drive and so forth. In nyc anything above 16" rims tends to be pushing it at times, the roads are crappy , the FDR has sunken sewer manholes and lead plates used for contructions, patches of rough roads tend to come at you out of no where... Let not talk about the WEST side highway with the lead highway thingys in the road that when you drive down the highway you hear dudadudadudaduda....

Make sure you know that where you drive everyday won't make your rims a victim of the curb rash, and bends and dings and so forth from pot holes..

I have been considering 17" rims for my Protege mainly because of the Prices on wheelmax.com which tend to match or beat out many other competitors .. but the selection can be limited...
I have also been checking out some of the rims that Rishie has and shows, his p5 is something sweet and has a set of great rims on it ... I never saw a 2nd gen in his shop , but I figure the 3rd gen sedan is similar.. but oh well...

You have to basically look around and Protege's on msprotege.com and protegeclub.com and just see what see and see what catches your eye...
There are hundreds , maybe thousands of rims out there and you just have to get what makes you happy....
