Need suggestions on ALL SEASON Tires
As most if not all of you P5 owners know, the stock all season tires on the P5 are pretty horrible. Well, at least for me, I mean, i can be losing traction and sliding into the other lane when turning a corner around 55-60km/h on wet grounds. So now since winter season is about to come, I have decided to go for some new all seasons. But I have no idea whats good in the tires category. So I m really asking for suggestions on which brand and model that is higher in quality and give optimal performance, dry or wet. By the way I will be sticking with the stock rims and it will still be 16s. Thanks in advance. Help muchly appreciated.

Do you need tires with real all-season capability (i.e. the ability to handle snow and mud) or do you want a tire that works well on wet pavement? It's unclear from your first post.
This is an important question because the qualities that make a tire work well in mud and snow usually makes them WORSE in the wet. Many people erroneously believe that the "all-season" rating means better wet grip. It actually means the opposite. |
If you get a decent amount of snow for a good portion of the year and still wanted an "all-season" type of tire, check out the Nokian NRW's (or WR's). They are "all-weather" meaning they are not just M+S, but they are "mountain snowflake" certified for harsh winters.
I've got the NRW's on in P195/55HR15 and they work great. Could use some better ice traction, but I made a compromise and they are excellent for me. |
i think Pirelli P7000 Supersports are good

thanks for the help guys. as to the mud to wet pavement question, I live on the west coast so its really the wet pavement. I know that getting summer and winter tires are better but I really dont want to spend to much on tires. And I think its a pain to go in twice a year to change onto different tires. So I really just looking for that gives me most grip on wet pavement. ( I guess this would also mean having more grip on dry). So any more suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks

I am putting mine back for the winter. Alex |
I like the Dunlop SP9000.
