My wheel question for ARD MP5...
 

Alrighty then, the car is a 2001 Protege MP3.

The wheels are two different kinds. The first is the Panasport street wheel in a 16x7. I don't know if the come in the correct bolt pattern or the correct offest that would fit the MP3 nicely. I am also wondering how much they weigh.

The next wheel I am interested in is the new Revolution RZX. They come in 17x7, and I managed to find out they come in the correct offset for the MP3 (+55 mm). I don not know if the are offered in the correct bolt pattern though, or how much they weigh. I was interested in these wheels in gold/bronze color.

I would like to emphasize that if autoxing and desiring to stay in the stock class, you can't decrease the diameter of the wheel. Therefore, you would be better off going with a lightweight 17" that would work within the offset constraints that SCCA or others may indicate.

For the Panasports I was thinking of using them for snow tire purposes. Plus, they might work better in day to day driving if they are lighter than stock MP3 wheels.

The Revolutions would be for weight savings as well with possible autocross usage becuase of size issues you mentioned.

Mostly looking for lighter wheels that look decent. Prefering weight savings over look. And the wheels I have mentioned are supposed to really light. And I think they look decent...

Well you've made some very good educated decisions there. No arguments.

The panasports will be incredibly lighter than the 22lb. RH's you got. You'll love them for day to day use. The only time you'll ever run into a problem is if you do a brake upgrade, but sounds like you'd know that anyways and probably won't be doing that either.

I will start the calls on Monday and hopefully by Tuesday i'll get the return call on pricing. We usually play voicemail phone tag as all manufacturer's reps are constantly on the phone.

For brakes, usually a decent set of pads and some stainless brake lines do the trick for everyday and autocross use...So, your spot on with the brake idea.
