Got my Toyos today!

My Toyo Proxes 4 came in today. I am so excited (yes, I lead a sad life that tires can excite me!). Just in time too, as I found out in the rain today that the stock tires are pretty much completely gone. My painted stock rims have had a week or so to cure, so it's off to the garage tomorrow to get them mounted. Hopefully I'll be able to put them on by tomorrow evening (looking at houses tomorrow too, so a full day).

I haven't bought any 4s...let us know what they're like okay? Dry grip, rain, corners, etc.

But of course! Once I scrub off the mold release agents. I figured there were some on here who had used these tires before. I believe they have been superseded now (probably why I got them for $68 each), but they have to be better than the stock Dunlops.

Okay, was out for only a little while today once I got the new rims on. Keep in mind all comments are in comparison to the stock Dunlops, which had 41,100 miles on them and were down to the wear bars. First impression of the Proxes 4, less road noise and a better ride (could be due to having a full tread). Cornering has not been really tested as yet (my gf threatened to throw up her lunch if I attacked corners) but the small amount I pushed impressed me. Better feel than the stockers and the limits appear to be higher. Rain is in the forecast here for the next few days so I will return once I have more info. Right now, I am pumped! Plus the bronze stock rims look hot!!

I don't know where the FZ4s are in Toyo's timeline. Seems the newest ones they have are the T1Rs (IIRC). Those are quite a bit more expensive. I have read a lot of good things about the Proxes 4 so thought I would give them a shot once I found a place that had them fairly cheap. I am hoping to give them a little more of a workout tomorrow.

All right, and the rain came down!! These things are awesome. Even given that I was driving on shagged out tires before, the Toyos are amazing. Driving through standing water on the road and no sign of hydroplaning (not even a tug on the wheel when only going through water on one side). Cornering is nearly as good as the dry. I am so glad that I bought these. Now we will have to see how much mileage they deliver.

nice

I also have Proxes 4's on my 15" stockies, and they are great. They are amazing in dry weather and pretty good in the rain. Do yourself a favor and invest in some decent snow wheels/tires though. I definately will not go through another winter with these tires.

Check your balance after about 1 -1.5K km. These things are awesome after the first 1K, but I had to finetune the balance after "wearing them in". I found them slightly slippery in the very beginning.

Proxes FZ4s became the Proxes 4
Proxes T1-S became the Proxes T1-R (the S was better!)
