Dyno on 17's?

Anybody have a dyno or timeslip of thier 2.0 pro with 17's on?

I'm interested to know if the 17's would make the engine work too hard. I was nervous about putting 17's on my last V6 because of power loss... I can't imagine putting it anything over 16" on a 4 cyl... especially OUR 4.... but hey, prove me wrong.

It's not so much the size of the tire, as long as you make sure that the diameter remains the same.

But the big killer is weight. The P5 16" tire and wheel weight combined is about 36 lbs. The rim alone is 16 lbs.

If going with larger rims you need to find one that weighs the same or less. Unfortunately the less they weigh the more expensive they get.

Centerline makes a forged wheel that is supposedly about 10 pounds in 17x7. They are $250-300. Volk Wheels and some of the other ultra light weight rims are about $400 and up, I think.

Heavy wheels hurt acceleration, harshen the ride, worsen handling, and beat up the suspension and wear out the struts. Unless you spend big $ it is a question of show or go.
