downgrade of tires, i know, i know...

Hey, you guys are gonna love to jump all over this one. But, If i want a less noizy, more "cushy" ride, let's say, "luxurious", what would you recommend. I'm not concerned with losing the *utmost* handling and gripping power, as i'm not gonna be trying to out race anyone. I'd like to increase gas mileage, and imrove the ride. i got the stock 195/55-15 potenzas right now.

So, i was thinking about putting something with a higher width/height ratio. perhaps a 205/55, or 195 60. i know it would throw off the speedo, but i'll just put a post-it note up there on the dash to remind me.

All and any comments are welcome and wanted, especially knowledgable ones. Cool. :chug:

All-season high performance would probably be the best for you. I would try looking at Toyo Proxes 4 or FZ-4. I keep the FZ-4s on my stock 16s for all-around use.

I just looked up the 4s in "plus zero" size of 205/50/15 and they are $65 per tire vs. $72 for the 205/55/15 size. (www.onlinetires.com)

thanks. i'll look into those toyos. I read a lot of good things about them. specially the proxies.

I had the proxies on my blue car, very quiet tire (at least that's my opinion) - but very good performance too- and cheap!
