Bald tires VS. Slicks
 

So I was having a conversation with a friend, and he just says lets race. But I wont race him (in the SE-R) because i have bald tires. He says that bald tires are like racing slicks and are better, so he puts up a big arguement that he is right that they are the same as a good pair of racing slicks. So what im looking for here is the diffrences and everything.

The rubber on your stock tires are harder than in a slick. Although a bald stock tire and a slick look the same, the slicks have a softer compound to give you the traction.
