Try mail order/internet tire dealers...
Retailers like Tire Rack and competitors offer steel wheel/snow tire combos sized specifically for the P5. As I recall, they offer 14" new steel wheels. I'll probably pick up a set for next winter, considering how this last one was. They may also sell the wheels separately.

Got my winter wheels and snow tires from discounttire.com for $426, including mounting, precision balancing?,shipping and lifetime warranty on blowing out the tires. The dud great in all the snow storms we got last winter and tread wear was limited.
they are 195/60/14's -R |
ok, I just went on their site but saw no info on steel/winter rubber.. Is it because we are almost into summer???

How much for your 15's with snow tires? How many miles on the tires. My sister is looking for some snow tires. She has a Protege ES2.0
|
About 3-4000 miles on them. Still plenty of tread left. Paid $500 new from TireRack, asking $300.
Had them for 2 winters, 1st winter they didn't get much use. No snow. |
I will take them for $300.00, what town do you live in?

Right now Protege52003 has claimed them. I will let you know if he falls through.

Try looking to your dealer. Most Mazda dealerships should have a set for the Protege and 5. In Canadian funds the ones my dealer was offering was just over $400. 14 inch steel rims with a set of 195/60/14 Kumho tires. Not a bad deal.
