nope , it will not work
Bijou - how come?
I sense sarcasm.....I have stock mazda 17"s on my p5, no problems at all.
well, the 6 is a ford...so the lug pattern may be different and the offset may not work. damn american built cars.
the 6 is 95% mazda....man oh man...I hate having to dispell rumors/myths!!
The only ford parts in the 6 are the engine blocks!! It's a 3.0L duratec block and head with everything else made by mazda!! How many ford cars do you know with factory 17" wheels?? (besides the mustang!) |
if they are 5 X 114.3 they should be fine
Roddimus, which rims do you have on your car? I am of the understanding that the 17" mazda6 rims have too much positive offset (+60mm?) to clear the suspension on the 3rd gen Protege, but that the 17" rims from the 3 are OK for the offset.
Oh, I have the 17" MP3 wheels.
fords that run 17's:
thunderbird crown victoria (lx sport) freestar (optional on ses, sel and limited) explorer expedition merc. mountaineer lincoln aviator lincoln ls lincoln towncar F-150 aren't 6's built in the US? by whom? most of the parts from the 6 are made in the US and Mexico...sounds like ford to me! |
All of ford's stuff is built in mexico and canada!!
only the freestar you mentioned was FWD...it's also a mini-van. I bet those would be WAY different. I'll look up where the Mazda6 is built, but it's part content is almost entirely mazda. |
Roddimus, you do NOT have MP3 wheels. I have MP3 wheels ;) I dont really like the 6 wheels even if they do fit
That's true, I'm not currently in posession of the mp3 wheels, but I in posession of Miller's home address and I know where his mom sleeps!
The wheels aren't bad for a lonaer set are they?? I want to get me some good tires for them and use them for track duty. |
If the offset is a +60, i think that may be a problem. You want to be in the +45 to +48 range if I'm not mistaken.
Is there a link to Rishie's fitment recipe on this board? |
