the only thing that is strange is the availability of the tires that the few companies that make them

if you have put those tires on your factory wheels like your sig states....I hope you never have a tire failure for any reason....if so...do NOT blame the tire. the factory wheels are only 6 inch...and those tires and the smallest wheels they are RECOMMENDED for are 7's. I am not saying they won't go on....but with them on 6's you are using them outside their design...and thus you would have a hard time EVER getting the maker to back a warrantee.

not dissin ya or anything, just some friendly words.

and this belongs in the wheel/tire forum....so here it is. :{D

they are 6.5" rims or that atleast what discount tire told me and they said they fit fine and ihave a no questions asked warranty(15 bucks a tire). I'll take a pic for you if you want to see how they look, they don't really buldge that much and honestly, they are only like .3 inch shorter than stock but they are like a inch or so wider

Sir Nuke November-9th-2002 01:23 AM

no real nead.....I KNOW discount tire, I have been doing business with them for 25 years....the are pretty good about backing up what they sell, no questions ask.....so since you got them there...you should be okay.....

I was just saying that Kuhmos doesn't recommend putting that tire on any rim smaller than a 7"...... certainly I know there is a safety factor involved....but you won't get the best performance from the tire...thats all. I am sure they look fine....and as long as Discount Tire backs their work....you should be fine.

I still believe that our rims are 6's though....but either way...

I am getting 215/40's for my car in a couple months....when my new wheels get in from Japan. but they are 17's

walight01 November-9th-2002 01:09 PM
