Where to get exhaust for Pro in BC?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed there's a few of you from Vancouver. I was wondering if any of you know of a good place to get an exhaust system and/or have it installed on the Pro. For example, I'm thinking of the Mazdaspeed exhaust.

I've looked around the site, and most of the places suggested are somewhere in the states. Just wondering if you can get it closer to home.

Thanks in advance.

i dunno if i'm just stating the obvious here or what and i'm not tryin to be an ass but if ya want a mazdaspeed exhaust, why not just go to yer local dealer and pick one up and have them do it. Keeps the warrenty safe and ya get a nice genuine mazdaspeed exhaust for bout 400 bucks.

Well, to a certain degree, i guess it's somewhat obvious.:)

But the reason I asked was because I wasn't sure my local dealer has it or if they're even the best place to go to get it done.

Then again, the mazdaspeed exhaust is just a thought, i generally wanted to know where is a good place to get an exhaust system since I might consider others.

But thanks anyways.

You should be able to find an exhaust almost anywhere but for a definate answer I'd have to say I am not sure but I am sure there are places in Richmond. I'm afraid I haven't shopped around for any...yet. Leave the thread up for a little while, wait, and see if others from B.C. chime in. They are usually slow to do so but when they do, they are a wealth of information. I know I didn't really help, hopefully some of the other guys will.

do you want like an axle back (Mazdaspeed) or a cat-back exhaust?

Pole-1 February-5th-2003 08:06 PM

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm new to this aftermarket mod thing.

I don't know what a cat-back is as opposed to an axle-back. If anyone can explain it to me, I'd really appreciate it. I keep on hearing these terms pop up but have no idea.

'Cat-back' is an exhaust from the catalytic converter back to the end. A axle back exhaust exhaust goes from the axle back, hence the names. The axle back exhaust is of course the shortest one. I believe the Mazdaspeed exhaust is a cat-back one. Hope that helps.

mazdaspeed is an axle back. it sounds very nice, however little hp is gained from it. if you want bang for your buck i suggest a cat back or if you can a full back ( skips the cat all together ) combined with headers. If you are looking for an axle back, i suggest wolfe mazda on boundary ( my mother inlaw works for there);)

Thanks guys, that kinda clarify things for me a bit.

Wolfe Mazda is actually where I got my Pro, so I'll check with them.

I got my Mazdaspeed exhaust from Signature Mazda, but I'm not sure what their current price is. I got it for $310 CAD before taxes. But I believe they don't offer that crazy price anymore.
(*shameless plug*) They are a sponsor for MPsport (Mazda Protege sport).

Garage5 may have it. I know of at least 1 member (Dan aka FS DE blue5) had a hookup from Garage5, but I think that's cuz he personally knows people over there.

Another sponsor Dean aka CARTUNER (works at Cartunes in Coquitlam) sells the Ractive catback back exhaust. I know PHRiSCo (brendan) has it. I don't think either of the two frequent this board, so go to the link I have above. Sign up (if you haven't already), and post some questions there.
