Pre-meet for Calgary Protege Club - Can you make it?

OK ... There seems to be a definite interest in getting some form of a club going. Let's have a pre-meet to discuss what people want from having the club & how to proceed.

Here's my suggestion for meeting place / time.

Location: Tim Horton's @ 924 16 Ave NW
Time: Thu Dec 5 @ 8pm

For those who want to get a club going, please reply to this thread on:
(1) Whether you can attend
(2) If not, you suggestion on preferred time / location

Let's see how many people can make it ...

Oh Damn.....

My buddy won tickets to the Flames vs. Wild game on that night and he's taking me!! I don't really care for either team, but the seats are in the Air Canada Club! Not often one gets in there!

Hope you guys have fun!

OK ... looks like 2 against 2 for the Thu meet.

How about if we change it to Sat (Dec 7) same location? Not sure if anyone has dinner plans on Sat, so a vote between 5pm & 8pm? (indicate if you are available for both times, or if not, which one)

Hope this will attract more folks.

Kuba - No worries. We can always pick you up in a Pro! :)

Orange, I'll go with the saturday, the weather should be better then (or so they say +10 I believe)

Either time is ok. at 5 there will be a bit (barely) more sunlight. I haven't had time to swing past the Timmies, is there lots of floodlights?

I'm in for saturday

Sats better for me, especially earlier in the night the better. 5 pm is cool. Tim Hortons by the stadium or tims by 10 th st. and 16th, the real small one? We should pick a big parking lot, if that's the same one i'm thinking of?! let me know...

Anybody think about meeting downtown? There are probably lots of parking lots we could meet at, especially school parking lots like Western High School on 17th Ave.

Anyways I'm in..sat. dec. 7 5pm....i'll be checking posts to see where u guys decide to meet.

The only thing we need to consider (besides general location) is light. Now that its winter any other time besides at noon will be dark so we will need good lighting.

Cool..didn't think of that. So it's still Tim Horton's on 16th Ave and 10st then?

What about mall parking lots? Westhills has a ton of light over there. Also the Canada Olympic Park parking lots might have better lighting as well. Anyways just a thought..

I am thinking of timmies on 16 ave / 8 st nw. It has a parking lot at the back which looks like it's decent size. Haven't driven past at night but I think there is a big light post in the middle of the lot. We should be fine.

I was around Western Canada HS last Sat & parking is a bit crazy. The school parking on the side street is paid & it was full.
