ooh my.. thats is sweet.. I am for sure , for sure in now..
|
I am in on this Rey, and will even volunteer to be the first "guinea pig" to have it installed.

These are the same gauges that "Tom Motorsport" is selling (http://www.tommotorsport.com/shop/?p...b4ee9ffe8087cf).
"Tom" is selling them for $39.00USD, or ~$59.17CDN. However, I don't know if "Tom" is actually selling them. I emailed the company asking about the needle hole sizes and got no response. I emailed them again and got a "mailbox full" bounce. |
If BigBlue's going to be the guinea pig, I'd like to see how they look in his car... I'm just unsure as to how they'll look with all the other amber lighting.

Still waffling on the gauges though.. I'm not crazy about the bright circle in the middle.. I'd prefer the 'other' style of reverse indiglo gauges. Can you get those ones? (in KPH) ( i don't ask for much! :P ) http://www.procarparts.com/store/dis...SLGW-XXXX-SVGX |
Rey: If you are sure that we are covered if Crown screws up, Im in!
(Would like to know how much shipping is though) |

Perhaps we Albertans should do a search to see if we can get lower prices with no PST?! I'd like to have those to match my stereo display colour! ;)

Originally posted by GOBLUES How'd you change all the other amber lighting? Was it difficult? I replaced all traces of amber in my HVAC (except the HU which will eventually be replaced) Wasn't difficult, but took a long time to get it right. Coupla tries later and it looks pretty damn slick!! Hardest part was pulling the center console out without damaging the dash. |
i know i am not modding my car anymore but i need these.....i am in..for sure..my winter car has to look nice too you know..when is the mone needed by

Are these the new guages that have the bigger holes and are supposed to be easier to install without breaking the needles???

Originally posted by BigBlue How about a how-to on how you did it Sandman? I think that would be a fun spring/summer project as I've really wanted my interior lights to be blue all along(mmm love the interior of the VW's!) |

I took some pictures when i did it the first time, but upon getting them developed, they look like ass so I didn't bother posting them. When I do it again, I'll also have a digital camera so I'll be able to tell if the pictures i'm taking suck or not. Anyway, keep checking in and one day you'll see my how to! |
Kewl, thanks!! Will be eargerly waiting!!!
|
In the meantime we'll just hassle you with questions about the technique you used to do it! :D
