Going to the Island and I am going to get accesories.

Did anyone notice that the Western Canada board has the most posts out of all regions? that is kind of cool. Anywho, is there anyone out there from Victoria who could recommend some good tuner shops. Here in Flatland we have nothing (unless you are a honda that likes LED's or neons). I am heading on vacation Sept.11 (screw the terrorists, they aren't holding me hostage) to Victoria to see my bro and might do some shopping while I am there.

P.S. - Are there any people from Saskatoon, or do you guys know of any. It gets kinda lonely here.....:(

he's prolly right. but even then the shops in vancouver/richmond frown on you unless you drive a honda ...

if you are serious, you might want to call ahead to the shop(s) and see if they have parts in stock. or else you'll spend most of your time waiting for the parts to come in if you want them to order it for you. Protege parts aren't very popular, although i'm sure they would be more than willing to take your money.

but this is more opinion than anything else ... most of my mods came from mitch @ protege5online.com <-- great guy too! but then there's duty and taxes that are freakin' expensive ...

hope i didn't scare ya :) but if you want i could do a bit of research and post up a few shop's phone numbers/websites if you want.

revscene.net is prolly the largest import message board in the 604 area. you can give that a shot too.

let me know if you want the numbers!

See that's what killed me on my short shifter, the bloody taxes and duty when importing cost me 60 bucks CAD. That's why I am hoping to find some good Canadian shops that either have a website or good phone service. Next time I am in Edmonton I am going to check some stores there as well. I swear the last time me and my buddy went shopping in E-town there was not one tuner place open. Lazy buggars on long weekends.....

Hey there, I used to be a Saskatoonian myself, but due to lack of jobs I am now in cow town. If you happen to pass through here on your travels you may want to stop by at a place called Speedville, the guy there is pretty nice. I can tell you right now that there is not too much at the shops for our car, but he can and has ordered items in for the car. The protege5online website is also good, as recommended by jowettw.

If you do happen to find a good shop in Vancouver please share with the rest of us, it is not that far of a drive for myself.

Good luck, and have a nice trip.
