Aug. 9 All Alberta All Mazda Meet in Banff
 

We are crrently planning on having quite a large meet if possible incorperating as many Mazda clubs as possible.
We have the APO (Alberta Probe Organaization)
The MX-6 club (no catchy name)
MX-3 West
Miata.net
RX-7.com
Canadian Rockies Miata Club


We are planning for Aug.9th.
It is being planned to go in Banff/K-Country.
A definite location has not yet been confirmed.

So again, all Mazda oweners in Alberta are totally welcome.

Is there any way we can postpone this meet to a later date as Import Showoff will be on the 9th down here in Cow Town...If not I'm split on rep'ing with SR @ IS or an all Mazda meet, both of which I would like to be a part of...

Import Showoff is that exact same day. I don't know how much of a turnout you're gonna get but I'm definitely in. I'd rather be in banff than stuck inside the RoundUp Centre. Aug 9th is good for me. I don't know about the rest of the Calgary Protege Club though.

Yea, I'm a bit split too. But of the majority of CPC decides to go too Banff then I'm definately in. If not you can find me at Import Showoff.

When a date is actually set, I'll try to get the guys down here in Vancouver to come otherwise I believe I'll be there! Hope to see the rest of CPC there too.

Yo, that sounds tight as hell. Like, a western canada massive meet! Banff is the perfect place for it too. If I may, I'd like to suggest the parking lot of the Canmore Nordic Center. It's about a million unused stalls amid beautiful scenery. It's easy to find, and should prove to be a great venue. What do you guys think?

we all need to cruise into Banff Townsite together...that would be sooooo funny to see the look on all the ppls faces...

We are having some trouble looking for a venue.
The problem with trying to do this IN Banff is that it a provincial park and we will most likely encounter beaurecratic bullshit.

The only downside to this venue is that a big part of this was going to be a BBQ.
If we could find a camp site near it this may work.
I will most likely be driving up to Canmore/Banff/K-Country to scout out some places.

True, it might not allow for a BBQ, but Canmore is not within a park. It's free to get in, and maybe if we phoned ahead we could get special permission or something. The parking lot at the nordic center is great. Large, and lots of shady areas for photos, etc. Situated right on a lake.
