Any P5 club/meets in Edmonton??
 

Hi All

I'm pretty new to this board so this may have been asked already but I was just wondering if there is any sort of P5 meet or club here in Edmonton. I have seen several around: 1 red, 3 blacks, 2 yellows, 2 blue, 2 silvers. So I know they are out and about.

I think it would be great that we could get together and see what each of us have done to our rides, LIVE and in person. The hot rod guys get together at gas stations so maybe we could start something like that, rotating around the city? I guess we would have to get the permission of the station owners, right?

Any thoughts?

I drive a silver P5 with tinted windows and no other mods. I am seeing these cars all over the place. I was on a unix course a couple of months ago and out of 10 people there were 3 silver proteges (2ES and my P5).

I'd be interested in meeting up with some of the people from here. The where is easy. Just pick a slightly out of the way resturaunt with a nice parking lot. Meet have a drink (or whatever floats your boat), look at the cars and then go for a drive.

We havea yellow p5 the only one I've seen in edmonton that has tint all around, and painted brake calipers and the little washer nozels that everyone hates.. and hopefully today new matrix type x yellow/black seat covers...

Nice meeting you. Sorry but I should have told you what colour I have. It is a Yellow P5 with leather, rear tint, roof rack and invisible bra. I will probably paint the calipers soon as they look sooo good that way.

I think that restaurant idea is a good one. Any favourites? I see that most of the Appleby's lots are kinda big or how about something on Gateway Blvd. Some of those shopping centre lots seem pretty good for a get together.

I think Gateway would be best for almost every person wouldn't it be?? it's kinda central for everyone or easy to get to... I know I would really be interested in it the weekend after hte long weekend.. my seat covers jsut came in and I'll have my sub in then too..

I don't know...I'd feel a little queer hanging out with all those people at Soda Jerks with their restored muscle cars. :)

But I'd be up for it if anyone else is.

So now we have to pick a Friday. Maybe the following weekend after the long weekend? I have been to that Soda Jerks and it is the one on the main drag right just up from Chapters?

Would anybody be interested in a Calgary/Edmonton/All Alberta Protege Meet? All years of Pros of course. Maybe we could do it in Red Deer so it's not such a long drive for everybody in the 2 major centres??

I know that there are a ton of Pro's here in Calgary...so we should be able to get a few people together.

Not sure on timeline though...I'm thinking late June or July sometime.

Soda Jerks is straight up St. Albert Trail (142 St) I believe. I can get the address if you want.

As for that Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary meet, I think that would be a cool idea. It's only 1 1/2 hours away plus I have a friend there so I can kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
