Damn. You do your own installs? Any pics for me? I really wouldn't mind seeing that setup.

Good deal. I'm more into the performance stuff for my car and doing engine/suspension work. If I ever need audio/lighting setup I know who to talk to now. You have any good $20 suggestions though to spruce up the car? I was just curious as to what is rather inexpensive in that area...thanks man.

hmm maybe sometime this spring I'll come take a look. By then I'm sure there will be new goodies on your car, too. :D

it's nice to see some ohio people on here. i'm debating on putting an exhaust and springs on my 03 protege es. any suggestions?

If you have the money - go for it! Both worthwhile and fun mods, installs aren't bad either. Any specific questions feel free to ask.

I was thinking about putting on a cat back exhaust, and mazdaspeed struts & springs. Man I love working at a Mazda dealership.

gcs118 January-28th-2004 09:35 PM

Lucky bastard! :p The cat-back is nice for minimal gains, good looks and good sound. The Mazdaspeed struts I put those on with my H&Rs for an excellent combo. I love the ride! Hella good, plus hella good handling as well. Like I said, both easier installs. The sooner the better though! Exhausts have a tendency to rust together and the rear sway bar endlinks are a bitch

I was talking to the guys at parts the other day and they told me that I could get the entire mazdaspeed suspension (struts, springs, rear & front swaybars) for $1,000. Also, I found a catback exhaust for $400. One of the mechanics told me that he'd hook me up on the install.
