Anyone in the Chicago area interested in starting a Protege Club?

There used to be 10-12 Pro's that met regularly, but we've been quiet lately. Keep posting and maybe we could get things going again...

s'up guys... i'm just south of chicago.. pete.. how is it going man? haven't seen you in forever.. let me know if you all get together... i'm not on this board much.. the other one has a lot more active 2nd genners so i tend to stay there but i check over here on ocassion.... oh i may be tradin my pro in for an mx-3... we'll see. but hopefully i can still hang with you all :)

I'm from Wisconsin but I might consider travelling to a g2g in Chi-town after my car is a little less.... stock :)

Dang, Pat, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm wondering what the good news from my insurance will be in a couple of weeks...I had a little run in with a trooper this summer (hey, 90 in a 65 isn't THAT bad. :D )

Tim (protegeboy78)...I am on this board occasionally. Work was crazy up until last week. I should have a bit more time for the car now (and the web) so I expect I'll be checking in here more.

Lets organize a meet, I say we shoot for March 6th (Saturday) and try to do it someplace where we can be warm. That should give enough time to notify everyone and get a good response.

Let me know what you all think.

Pete and I did this event last year; it was a LOT of fun. (Others from here were supposed to show up, but weren't able to make it.)

Lots of fun test-driving all the Mazdas, and of course dodging those cones.

Hey everyone. I am still around. Just been working my butt off. I don't usually get a chance to get on here much anymore. Email is the best way to contact me about events going on. It has been like two years since we first started talking about getting together and ended up at Busse Woods. That was fun. Well I have a new pro now. 2003 silver es. Enjoying that. Still have the 92. Looking to sell it and all its glory. If you guys are planning on getting a meet together,

That would be the best way of getting ahold of me. Maybe this year, we could head on over to Byon and hit the drag strip.
Another thing to new members or those that are interested in getting together. For our NIPRO (Northern Illinois Proteges) meets, we are always looking for new places to meet. IN the past we have been hassled by "tree police" and been handed tickets. If there are any ideas, let them come out.
Again drop me an email and lets get a list started. Also if you are interested in my 92 Lx, let me now and I can give you some info on it. Well hope to here from you (Pete, Tim, Dale, Pat, Konrad, Cory, etc). Talk with you later.

When did you start this chicago club? Cause we have been doing NIPRO for the past two years. We have had a couple of meets and took a bunch of pictures.

Conrad: MY girlfriend lives right off of yackley. I am over there all the time. I get off on naper from 88 and head on over there. We should meet up dude.

dude, rock! i live more towards the quadcities if anyone knows where thats at. id like to get my car done a little more though. sounds pretty cool. im trying to find a BPT motor for a swap, and warm weather for a custom bodykit install. otherwise id love to see other pro-tuners!

Hi anyone with a p5 in Chicago area that is interested in a Mazdaspeed exhaust for p5? I have mine for sale for $100.00 PM me if you are interested. Only used 6K miles.

Yeah, there's still people here. I think we should start working on getting together since the weather is getting nicer.

Good idea; not to rain on the parade, though. The "other site" is having a good sized meet next month (like 3 weeks away now).
