Finally got around to it, put some of my track footage onto the computer. 10MB is the max I can host on one site, so it's small and not terribly great quality. The tripod is kinda broken, so no height adjustment, and the angle could have been better, need to see less of my shoulders. :) I was going to try my engine mic setup, but in some of my test runs it came out screeching... since my amp was disconnected at the track I couldn't test to see if it worked, and I didn't want to take a chance... so mostly it's wind noise, and the sound of cars passing.

OK....so looking at this....there is a LOT that could be better...remember this is my second time at the track...and this time with more than one hour of sleep. (4 hours, go figure!) With 103 hp and automatic transmission, it's really frustrating too. :( But I think I am learning a lot, and remember I make the same mistakes as the M3 guys -- I can't just push my throttle or activate traction control to take care of it. I am eager to try Buttonwillow with my new suspension, I ran Willow Springs with it... The Eibachs are pretty soft, but oh well. Over at Willow Springs the handling started to get pretty funky at about 100mph on turn 8, I think it's the tires, off brand 195/60/R14 uni-directionals :D. I was on blown struts on this video though :p . First time I went to buttonwillow I was running M + S rated 175/70/R13s too, fun :) . They heated up like anything.

So this low HP car helps me learn a lot, I think. Still, I'd rather be 5 speed, and about 30 more hp. I'm not sure I want to register another one with this car....there was an RX7 GSL-SE going for $1000 in the area...didn't have the cash on hand though :(
