HELP!! Posting pics and inserting links???

How do you post pictures inside the threads and how do you insert a link to another website inside the threds?

When you are posting, in the are above this text box, there is a section called vB code. To insert an image, click the IMG button, then type the location of the pictures (Hyperlink). To insert a link to another page, click the http:// button and enter text for the Link (i.e. my webpage) or none at all, then click ok. On the next window type in the link info and click Ok.

That's it. It is very simple.

I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK!

I can't get this image thing to work right at all. I've tried for 3 damn days. All I want to do is post a few pics of my brand new 2002 Protege ES. They are saved on my hard drive under "my documents." Whatever! LOL

Having the pictures on your harddrive is not going to do any good.

The pictures have to be served by a web server, e.g. you must be able to display the picture in a web browser using a URL that starts with "http://". A URL that starts with "file://" will NOT work.

What I did was activate the web hosting space my ISP provides me and dumped a few pics there. Then I add the pics to the message using the format:

[I M G]http://your.webserver.com/image.jpg[/I M G]

See the spaces between the I, M and G? Do NOT put those spaces in. Sorry to confuse, but if I take the spaces out you will not see the [] tags because they will be treated as an image URL. Get it? :)

So the FIRST step is to get your images on a web server. Some people talk about using ImageStation, but I don't know if that works. If your ISP provides webspace, just use that.

Thanks a bunch guys!

Thanks guys! I'll try to create a photo album of my new car this afternoon on lunch break and post the pictures of my new ride. I didn't know you couldn't "embed" an image in the text box on this website. That's what was confusing me!! Been trying for 3 or 4 days to do this, NO LUCK! Thank goodness none of you guys heard the "sermon" I preached about it last night. LOL!!! Thanks!
