How to replace alternator

I have scoured the web but can't seem to find a good guide to replacing the alternator on the mazda 3 (2004). Would anyone be able to tell me how to do that. The only thing I saw so far referenced removing the stock strut bar and the cruise control to get access to the alternator. Is this correct?

Thanks
PS Bonus points for pictures! :)

Mazda 5 - 2012 alternator replacement (plan for 2 hours if a DIY)
1. Disconnect positive terminal for battery
2. Remove engine cover
3. Remove 2 - 10MM nuts holding alternator cover and remove wire harness plug and remove cover
4. Remove wire plug on bolt (need mirror to see) by using pliers and squeezing plug and pulling. Try on an accessible plug first for practice.
5. Unbolt positive terminal of alternator and wire harness by squeezing with hand and pulling. (you may wish to wait until the alternator is unbolted and facing up for this step.
6. Remove front passenger tire and 4-10mm bolts on the inside panel.
7. Turn 14mm bolt on tension pulley clockwise to remove belt. You will need an extender
8. Remove 3 -14MM alternator bolts with a deep socket.
9. Replace alternator and attach all bolts, nuts and cover and wire harness

Your Done!
