Hi, im new to this board.

Hello, I'm new here and I'm open to making new friends. And I was bored so I found this nice board. Some of you sound like you live pretty close to me. I'm also proud to say I'm one of 1750 people that own the Mazdaspeed Protege, It's everything I would of done with any car and I probably would have spent the same (Orange is my favorite color!). I live right next to palmdale so just to let you all know, my Mazdaspeed protege did 15.2@98.9 mph at LACR. Not bad. I'm trying to get some track time at Willow Springs but the weather has been crappy lately. Owner says the track was frozen one morning, that's no bueno.

SWEET!! Welcome.. the mazdaspeed protege is NICE....

Glad you got that spicy orange... I didn't think I'd like it from the pictures, but seeing it in person it's great :)

Welcome to the board! I'm sure you'll find the Protege a well worthy car for any type of racing.

BTW, look outside! It's sunny again!!! :D

Yeah, pictures do no justice. Once you get a good look at one it's impressive. But, driving a car like the MSP takes a lot of disipline. Everyone and their momma wants to race you and you take a lot of criticism. But on the other hand the car gets a lot of good compliments and it has a lot of potential. I'm gonna ride the warranty first then next year I'll look into more power. Based on the engine I think I can get it to 280hp if I still want to keep it daily driven.
