B'ham meet??
 

hey Rod when and where are we going to set-up a meet in B'ham, AL or surrounding areas. Anyone intereted please post so we can try get the ball rolling. I know I am new but I would love to meet some fellow club members and love to check out your cars first hand....I suggest a local Drag strip for a little fun.

I usually frequent Bama Drag in Jasper or LAssiter Mt, but they've sucked hard lately.

What part of town are you in? I'm in Alabaster

we are few and far between. We usually have to try to hook up with the GA crew but if you would like to start getting together on a regular schedule I'm down.

I am in the Centerpoint area... I normally go to Lassiter (because it is the closest to me) during the week for time trials, but I have been told they do races on the weekends and I really have just started running my car and not sure if I want to step in the racing ring just yet. I have never been to the Bama drag in Jasper before. I have run in Steele on their drag strip once before . I really do not care where we go I will make a point to be there just whatever is best for everyone else. If we can get everyone elses opinions and suggestions that would be great....If we all have a good time we can set something up on a regular basis, maybe even rotate tracks from time to time...

Oh almost forgot which drag strips close down for the winter??? Is it all of them or is there some open all year??

Bama stays open most....usually they stay open until it's too cold for people to show up.

Hey Matty we need to have a local get-together so the local guys can check-out the SC as soon as you get it all together. Maybe this time somewhere no rent-a-cops will hassle us.

yeah Rod you know we all wanna check out the SC if you can not get it together for a while i still say we meet reguardless......

just let me know if you guys wanna get together. I'm always around so we can just get together for lunch or something sometime.

It's December 1 2004....anyone down for a meet/supercharger drooling party?? I think we need to plan a little bit ahead.. How about we try to get something solid lined up for 2-1-05?? That gives us time to colaborate and get others invited.

I'd like to do something at Oak Mountain State Park since it's got large meeting area's and awesome cruising roads. There's also a public beach, camping areas, grilling, pavillions, rc track, walking, hiking, biking, etc...

I'm in! With the date that far in advance everyone should be able to plan. Just wish the date wasn't so far away. Hope it won't be too cold still.

yeah I'd like to get this published ahead of time on other forums so we can get some exposure. I am also anticipating that 2-1-05 will be the first day the WOMP kits go on sale.
