You guys may or may now know -

The version coming out on august 6 is the theatrical version. If you hold out for a couple months ( i think october ), they're releasing the directors cut version of the movie with an additional half hour re-inserted into the movie.

Since i'm such a rings fan, and more importantly a Peter Jackson fan, I'm probably gonna get both, but if you're only planning on getting it once, you'll probably want to wait!

Okay, I admit it, I have not seen it yet either. I even missed it at the cheap theatres. Oh well, I'll wait to see it on DVD although big screen would have been great. It's one of those movies where you really need to see it on those huge movie screens first, like Star Wars, Star Trek etc. Those dramas I can live with on the small screen.

I haven't seen it either. Waiting for the DVD release, which happens to be the 6th of August even here in Finland. I'm not (t least not yet) that big fan that I should wait for those special releases, I think that theatrical version is just fine for me

Yea I hear ya. I have quite a few DVDs, and I don't think I've ever watched any special feature stuff on the DVDs, all I care about is the movie itself. I hear there is going to be a special edition of pulp fiction coming out in August though, I can't wait to see it!!!!!!!! (Favorite movie ever!)

No dude. it sucked ***. Nothing but a bunch of fairies runnin around on stage with king fairy himself michael flatley twiddling his feet and jumping around in his pantyhose. The soundtrack sucked.. nothing but a bunch of flutes, some wierd celtic kind of instruments and the occasional drum. waitaminute... you meant lord of the RINGS... my bad.. yeah that was pretty cool..

Nope!

I haven't seen it as I am not really a big fan of the series. I will wait to see the director's cut in Nov. I will just add that to my collection of over 225 DVDs that I yet to watch on my 65" Widescreen that gets turn on for maybe 2-3 hours a months.

Baby and Car take all my time now, but it is worth it. Anyone wanna buy a TV?

I haven't seen it yet, I didn't have time to see it when it was out, so I will wait to see it.

I'll give ya fifty bucks for it, since after shipping and customs to Canada, it'll prolly cost the price of a brand new one!!!
