Air Blower removal

Hi, there's a weird sound coming from the blower (like something is touching it inside) and i want to know an easy way to remove it.

I looked in the workshop manual and i have to remove the whole dashboard... so is there an easiest way?

thanks

removing the whole dash IS the easiest and ONLY way.

the blower motor is behind the dash on the passenger side. Be grateful you don't own a Jeep Cherokee...you'd HATE to see how to get the motor out of that.

I assume you are talking about the a/c - heater blower assy.
If this is true just stick your head down in the footwell area of the pass. side front and look up! The bower is right there!!!! remove the three phillips head screws unplug the blower and push the glovebox out and then PROTECT YOUR HEAD the blower might fall on it. Remove the parking stub or leaf that is rubbing on the squirrel cage and then re-install--------- DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed, removal of the Protege blower is about a half-hour job. No special tools needed. Make sure you're clean though (shoes especially), you're going to be walking all over the ceiling getting the thing out.
