Unhappy I don't think it should do that...

Well I was testing out my new intake filter / adapter when I noticed a little something... when I goose the throttle, a little smoke comes out of my spark plug areas. That can't be a good thing.

I've never seen this before on any other car I've worked on... is that normal?

The seals around the sparkplugs could be leaking. Pull your plugs and check if the insulator has oil on it, or on the plug boot and ****.
It shouldn't be that hard to replace the seals if you're half competent with a socket set.

I've never replaced plug seals before. Would my HAYNES manual cover the directions?

Also, it's not that it started after I put in the cone filter... that's just when I noticed it, just to clarify.

just because he happened to install his cone filter at the time, it doesn't mean it wasn't happening before, It just means thats the first time he noticed it.
