Thumbs up Best Mazda??

I just got my first baby, a first gen 90 mazda lx and I was thinking perhaps I should've went for a more recent model? But I feel that if I start with an oldie and fix her up, it shows more than just buying a new one thats already really nice... whaddya think?

Which Mazda IS the best and why? Are oldies better than newbies?

*remember* we're all friends here so be nice

brake problem, most likely master cylinder is gone

can't go fast if you can't stop fast too

and I'll be upgrading to SS brake lines while the brake system is being flushed

1) 2nd gen Protege
-- the most neglected yet they look the meanest when hooked up..
2)323 hatchback (1988-1989 gtx)(1990-on gtx, NA, and GTR)
-- there just so damn versatile
3)all Rx-7's
--- they are so damn fast but I love the latest models..
4)protege5
--- that metalic blue is just frigin awesome , but there kits and spoilers cost to much damn money..
5)miata's
--- I like them but damit I am way to big to be in that small car...--plus the potential is endless.
6) mx6
--- this car in turbo , just rocks ...--not the old ones--
7) mazda 6 ,,
--- sorry but I am not really fealing it like that ...

A friend of a friend has an MX-3 in which he's putting the Mazda6 S V6 engine into. It's gonna be fast as hell when he's done (should be 3 or 4 months)...

Well I had a 1st 2nd and now 3rd gen Protege and a '00 Mazda 626 ES V6. I couldn't tell you really which car I liked the best. I loved them all. I really thought the 2nd gen Protege rode sooo smooth but was underpowered. I'm really in love with my new ES though. I'd have to say it's my favorite thus far.
