I know some people are very touchy about their writing, but I'm curious to see if anyone is willing to post some of their work. I'm willing to post some of mine. I wrote something for my ex last night, that I gave to her today. I have done a lot of writing lately.. please post some stuff if you're not too shy, or against people knowing what goes on in your mind.

Love is the dew on the petals of a delicate rose
the gentle way the water of a stream flows
The peacefulness of a sunrise
the tender way in which she lies
It is the sweetness of her lips
the caress in her fingertips
It is the smoothness of her skin against mine

It is the way she looks at me and holds me tight

I wrote this one either my freshman year of college or senior year of high school:

A rose for Ophelia
Bright bright red
Our dear lord's pride
In his flower bed
Jagged thorns
Bring pleasant pain
A rose for Ophelia
And bless thy name

I actually wrote it for some girl I was trying to impress, I don't remember her name anymore, but it worked long enough . I changed it to Ophelia after she pissed me off and e-mailed it to her modified.

I've got a really long stroy that I might post later . Its mostly true actually. The people in it are myself and some people that I worked with this past summer. It is pretty much the misadventures of a bunch of fun loving drunks who work in the kitchen at denny's.

I dont write lyrics but I write music
and would appreciate any feedback on these tracks
They are all original, I play guitar and bass and use acid loops for the drums.
It would be cool if someone liked a song to write some lyrics for it.

sorry, got busy yesterday and didnt get a chance to get back to post about my topic. i wrote a lot of different things, poetry, songs, whatevers on my mind. anyway, here's one of mine. hopefully some others will get in on this. i love seeing peoples writing.

this.. i wrote on monday night at about 2am for my ex girlfriend. she came over yesterday and i gave it to her to read.

baby girl, you and me have been more than friends for like a minute now
even though we've had our ups and downs, we always manage to pull through somehow
in my writing there's a few things i'd like to say
first, i hope my Reina's love never goes away
next, i pray that our friendship never goes astray
it makes me sad to know that things could ever end so bad
i want someday we could get back the hapiness that we had
i never needed a reason to tell you about my love for you
even if you hated me, i would still feel the same for you
when was the last time you came across something so real?
babe, in a thousand words, i cant even begin to tell you how i really feel
i love you babe, just know that'll never change and thats no lie
even if we're not together, my feelings for you will never die
i dont know how you ever made me feel like this
one kiss from you is simply, pure bliss
girl you know i would do anything for you
you came into my life and brought me feelings of love so true
i miss the days of you and me driving fast in the protege
my love sitting next to me made me glad i made it through another day
aside from you being my reina we really never had nicknames
layin next to me in bed, you got me cuffed, playin games
i never had to say a thing
when we came through everbody knew you were under my wing
it brought respect to something that was once disregarded
call me over-protective but it was my baby that i thought i guarded
to finish up this writing i just want to let you know

Well, I'm not a very good writer, but both my sister's have poems published (Older sister Julie, 23, has two published, younger sister Kim, 11, just got one of hers published this month, she's so happy).

My older sister is a journalism major, and is 241 pages (as of today, hehehe) into her first novel. She's a terrific writer, I guess it skips a kid (I'm the middle one). Julie and I are working on a screenplay right now, although most of her time has been spent on her novel. She's written about 50 pages in the last month.

If I can find either of my sister's poems, I'll post them.
