Let's talk about headlights for a minute...

I don't get it. Why are the Protege's lights so much better?

All I know is that as far as looks, the Protege's front end, although clean-looking, is definitely weak compared to the P5. The fogs on the ES help a little, but it's stil too flat. They really should have added the front air dam from the MP3 to the ES 2.0.

That's actually one of the main reasons I got a P5 over an ES. The P5 just looks so much more aggressive.

But- my lights aren't as good??? Huh???

I like the P5 headlights. I think they spread a good amount of light. The high-beams are pretty viscious too.

No, no. I certainly don't want to swith lights. I like the p5 lights too. I was just responding to something posted in one of the other discussions. Someone said the Protege's lights were brighter than the P5's. I just wanted to know why he thought that.

I think our lights are just fine!

The P5 headlights put WAY more light on the road than my 93 civic. WAY more!

Ah who cares? I think the lights are plenty already. Especially with the foglights, it's more than enough for me even at pitch dark roads.

compared to my tour's "low profile" headlights and the light they throw out the Pro's are like spot lights. I'm pretty happy with the way they look and they're light output. However I wouldn't mind some of the black painted ones that people have made. (not the new 2003 style mind though those look good too)

I'm pretty happy with the headlights on my P5, they seem bright enough to me.
