I was thinking of getting some screens for my pro. I am either going to get 2 headrest sets or one fold down set. But I am curious as to how much the sets ups cost to be installed. I am not ready to do it myself so thats not an option.

just mounting the monitor in the headrest usually runs about $50 each.
If the head unit is dual source (DVD and CD) then it's a slam or in your case could be a double din, double team. either way, it's not too difficult to install in a P5., sling a few cables, wires, etc....i'd say maybe $180-200 for basic professional installation.
unless the installer is familliar with the car and knows the roof crossbeams, the headliner must come down enough to see through the domelight hole. Headliner can break easily and some places may charge more for the liabillity. You could always mount it to the crossbeam the domelight is on, but it's not always on a beam and IMHO it's too close for the rear passengers, i feel even the headrests are too close in smaller cars. Visor monitors are pretty cool and can stay stealth (and you can recline the front seats to get a better viewing position) I've also used visor monitors for little custom flip outs from consoles (overhead or not) they just look cool being so slim.

i was also looking at doing an install, but doing it myself. and one question i had was how are the lcd screens powered, i was thinking along the lines of getting a 5.4 inch screen and getting it custom mounted in the double din spot, and moving my face down a little. it shouldnt be that hard. and i think i can do it all myself, cus im pretty good with fabrication of stuff, and im decnet with electrical.

most standard screens have 2 wires and an RCA cable.
- RCA Video in
- 12v + switched power
- Chassis Ground
If you want the screen on any time the car is on, use an ACC wire and maybe even a relay, prefferably not an IGN wire.
If you want the screen on anytime the system is on, then use the remote turn on from the HU and have it flip a relay.
If you want the screen on at anytime, them connect to constant 12+ power and a mount a switch inline.
If you want it on only when video is used, use that devices remote turn-on (if equipped and if different from the main HU) to flip a relay.
