MikeDs' 94 Protege DX

A small gallery of my beloved 94 Protege. Some have asked to see it. I'll post more pics etc. shortly.

I just made an insulated lexan cold airbox and a ram into this airbox using an extra headlight I bought off EBAY. I had to do something to get that hot radiator fan air from being blown right into the intake! I'll be installing it shortly and will let you know how it works.

Thanks Prototype!! I bought the 2000 ES wheels off EBAY with tires for $405.00 bucks shipped. They do look good on the 1Gs! Airbox pics hopefully will be up this weekend.

Your ride is lookin sweet also. The White on White is sharp. Hopefully, I 'll be doin that to my White P5 when I buy one shortly.

The bullet holes are actually magnetic. I put em over the door dings soccer moms graciously leave in parking lots. The ones on the trunk are just for kicks. It's kinda funny to see expressions on peoples faces on the interstate.

Thanks for the comments on the seats and wheels IslandPro. You have one of the only other 1G's I've seen with em (except for GroHarlems.) For some reason they look better on the 1G's than the 3G's.

I bought the seats from Mazda Recycling for 200 bucks for the set, shipped. Spent 800 to have them re-upholstered. I recommend these seats. They're much better than the stock seats.

And zuMP5, my car is hella fast (18.0 @78... before high flow cat and crank pulley mods.) I have half a dozen 18 wheeler and tour bus kills. I hope to get fast enough to hang with the short school buses and Marriot shuttles. Guess it's all I can expect with the shatty auto tranny. It is the ULTIMATE bracket racer though.

Very nice, as said, clean look. Not too flashy but very pretty.

Like the MX-3 seats, hope to find some around sometime once I have a little spare change.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who can take on those nasty big-rigs!!!
