Prowners.com..... ???

Hello everyone! I must say, this is a nice forum and it seems to run pretty smooth. So I ask you all, visitors of this forum, wouldn't it be great if this forum was the main forum for protegé owners?

The reason I ask is... it would be great to have a single resource where everyone could go, to hang out, and chat. I see no reason to have as many boards as we do, as long as we can have one that's reliable, no ads, and rocks (like this one).

So should I keep my forums open, or should we consolidate into one forum... this one?

True

BUT...it's good to have multiple forums, cause sometimes people may be in this one, but not at Prowners, and vice-versa. AND, sometimes questions come up in others and not in here. so to have multiple avenues open might actually be beneficial, altho it may be more work for some.

but here's a good one, i was promoting Javahead's site (protege5online) at the Network54 forum, not knowing he wasn't registered there! when he logged on, he was surprised to see his name all over the place, and hopefully i helped him out some. weird huh? if i hadn't done the promo's, it's possible people may not have ever known about him had he not logged on.

my point: even tho it took a novel to get this across, 3 or 4 GOOD forums are better than one, dont'cha think?

THE END. LOL :D

Well, since you put it that way...

if someone can be sure to get everyone from all the GOOD boards, then yeah, that'll be cool. i don't think i registered for the yahoo group, i hear those are good forums...but i HATE yahoo. if i did register, it must have been a mistake.

i like the POLL thingy here. no, really, this is a solid forum, and as long as we get a bunch of people in here, that's cool. i'll still be hopping around just in case...

the pros: solid layout, good topics, cool peeps, buku options
the cons: few members (for now), non-working url (for now) ...hmmm, not a lot of serious cons, huh?

i hate yahoo.

the url works... www.protegeclub.com

that's the one you meant, right?

he just needs to do the deed of getting his site on line.. and maybe tweak the forums.. but the bottom line is, he (Jeff) has a solid foundation, and as long as his hosting is solid, it can be shaped into greatness...

You all should realize, www.prowners.com is hosted on a server here at my house, on a DSL connection. It isn't at some hosting solution where they have mega-bandwidth and solid servers.

I was always real shaky about hosting for something that could be as big as our user base.

I actually still want to use www.prowners.com for the web portion, but for reliable member communications, I strongly urge everyone to use protege club.

Tell ya what.. I gonna drop my site and have it forward to www.protegeclub.com (administrative decision)

Coolness

well, this forum is coming along nicely, and i can see what you guys mean about using only one. so lance, just the forum section is down, right?

well, if this is gonna be the hot forum, i'll post a message at MAZDA MANIACS and all, and link to here as well. but i hope to still see all of your guys pics there (at MANIACS), cause i like to look at all the different mazdas and such.

I am going to try and work on the actual website part of it tonight. I dont have alot of spare time because I have a full time job and a 6 month old daughter. And my fiance is always doing homework so I only have a couple of minutes here and there to work on the site. Hopefully I can get alot of it done tonight. I think I might work on the logo and main section and links. And if I can i'll probably post the FAQ up here. Maybe convert it to HTML.

I say one forum is better because it is rather annoying to jump around from forum to forum.
