My Suggestions

1. Faster page loads, site.
2. You need a group buy addtion, where if you get enough people looking to purchase some part. you may be able to get a deal. Has save me at least $500 on my cars mods!

While this leaves the door open for people to rip other people off, a Bulk Buy forum has its advantages. The one over on PT has really helped to expand the aftermarket or the Probe. If you get enough people together that want something, often times companies will recognize the demand and start producing a product.

The lack of commitment disgusts me. Just looking at our local meet turnouts proves that statement well enough.

What do you mean? Are you saying that nobody will go through with group buys, or that people just aren't interested. That is very sad/disappointing! On Countour.org, which is now down for a couple of weeks group buys and meet turn outs are great. For the last 2 years they had a weekend thing in Kalamazoo MI where over 80 cars showed up, They had a tour of an large auto museum(forgot the name), auto Xing, SVT speakers, and a bunch of other activities. I mean I drove over 6 hours to be there. Group buys alone like I said saved me tons of cash. I hope people will start to show more enthusium(sp?) for these cars. Hell I don't even own one, but I have learned
quite a bit about these cars, and for the most part the owners seem like a nice group of people. I would say just try the group buy thing and see what you can do about faster page loading.:D

group buys here tend to turn out pretty crappy. we couldn't even get 2 more people in on a group buy so we could get carbon fiber hoods for the 99 and 00 protege's. :( i really wanted one too. but nooo... couldnt get enough people.

I would still try the group buy thing. Eventually people will start realizing that you can save big bucks on parts and also influence aftermarket companies into making more parts for the P's.

I guess another thing is that the Contour crowd is all ages since the SVT was priced just under 25G's. A lot of younger people couldn't afford the SVT, but everyone could afford a normal Contour. Older people=more money, more responsibility, and more mature thinking. I am not knocking younger people in any way, christ I am only 24. I just feel that if there is more older people involved, shit gets done. Everyone says yeah I'll be there, but nobody shows and I think that is B.S. Most people piss and moan that there isn't much for these cars, WELL GET INVOLVED to show people that there is demand. I love the looks of these cars, but hate the power. If I decide to get one then I will try to get people together in WI. I originally from Fond du Lac, WI and they have Holiday Auto which is a premier Mazda dealership(forget what Mazda calls it, but they lead sales in WI). They host a Miata thing every year there, free food, a lot of shooting the shit and then a cruise on some of the greatest roads in WI. Out by Road America in Elkhart Lake. You do also need a logo of some sort. If I get some time I will work on on for you guys, but I don't have much time because I am swamped at work.I am just rambling because I think that for all the P owners out there more people should get involved. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Central FL is having their first meet this Saturday. Hopefully we'll have a decent turnout. Damn shame more folks aren't committed to fun! I am FORTY and love cars. One of the guys (early 20s) from DeLand has given me good info on how to enjoy my car more. He's even volunteered to help with upcoming mods he's suggested. That's what car clubs should be about.

Group buys? I'm ready for short shift kit & bushings, Short Ram intake, new audio head unit, seat covers, maybe catback exhaust.
